This page explains what cookies and similar browser storage GENZUO uses today. We keep this list short and honest — most of what looks like a "cookie" on GENZUO is actually browser local storage, not a tracking cookie.

1. Language preference (strictly necessary)

We set one cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, to remember which of our 19 supported languages you last used, so we don't have to re-detect it on every visit. It contains no personal data and doesn't require consent under EU cookie rules.

2. Staying logged in (browser storage, not a cookie)

GENZUO keeps your session token in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie. It's used only to keep you signed in and is never sent to third parties; it's cleared when you log out.

3. Light/dark mode preference

Your choice of light or dark theme is remembered in local storage so we don't have to ask every visit.

4. Analytics (not yet enabled)

GENZUO has optional support for PostHog product analytics, which may set its own cookies when enabled. It is currently off by default in production. If we turn it on, we will update this page and, where EU law requires it, ask for your consent first.

5. Error tracking

GENZUO has optional support for Sentry error tracking, which helps us catch and fix bugs. When enabled, it may set a cookie or local-storage entry to correlate errors within a session; no advertising cookies are used.

6. Third-party content

GENZUO does not currently embed third-party trackers, ads, or social-media widgets that would set their own cookies.

7. Managing or clearing your data

You can clear cookies and local storage for genzuo.co at any time from your browser settings. Doing so will log you out and reset your language/theme preference.
