Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

Draft — this page has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Final legal terms will be published before commercial launch in the EU.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data GENZUO ("we", "us") processes when you use genzuo.co, why, and what rights you have. GENZUO is a creator-economy platform operated from the Czech Republic; our infrastructure runs on Amazon Web Services in the eu-west-1 (Ireland) region.

1. Who we are

GENZUO is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@genzuo.co.

2. Account data

When you register, we collect your email address, chosen username, display name, and password (managed securely by Amazon Cognito — we never see or store your raw password). You may optionally add a bio, avatar, cover image, and social links to your profile.

3. Content you upload

Posts, images, video, and audio you upload are stored in a private Amazon S3 bucket. Free content is served to anyone who can view your profile; content behind a paid tier is only ever served to entitled viewers via short-lived, signed URLs — never publicly.

4. Direct messages

Messages you send through GENZUO are stored so the conversation can be delivered and displayed to its participants. We do not read your messages except when required to investigate abuse reports or as required by law.

5. Payments

Paid subscriptions, tips, and purchases are not yet live. When we launch payments, they will be processed by Stripe Connect — GENZUO does not store your card details. This section will be updated with the full payment-data flow before checkout goes live.

6. Cookies & browser storage

GENZUO keeps your login session in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie, and sets one cookie to remember your language preference. See our dedicated Cookies Policy for the full breakdown.

7. Analytics & error tracking

GENZUO is built with support for PostHog (product analytics) and Sentry (error tracking). Both are optional, environment-gated integrations that may be enabled to help us understand usage patterns and fix bugs; when enabled, identifiers are hashed where practical. This section will be updated with concrete provider names and retention periods once these are switched on for production.

8. Transactional emails

We send account-related emails (registration confirmation, password reset, streak reminders, notifications) through Resend. We do not sell your email address or send third-party marketing without your consent.

9. How long we keep data

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

10. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing (GDPR Articles 15–21). You can update most of your data directly in Settings; you can request account deletion and a data export from the same page, or by emailing hello@genzuo.co.

11. Legal basis for processing

We process account and content data because it is necessary to provide the service you signed up for (contract). We process optional analytics data based on consent where required, and message/report data based on our legitimate interest in platform safety.

12. International data transfers

Our core infrastructure (Cognito, S3, DynamoDB) runs in AWS eu-west-1 (Ireland), inside the EU. Some optional third-party services (analytics, error tracking, email delivery) may process data outside the EU under their own standard contractual clauses; we will list each provider's location here as they are enabled in production.

13. Age requirement

GENZUO is for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as GENZUO evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect.

15. Contact

For any privacy question, request, or complaint, email hello@genzuo.co.
